Trenton, NJ - December 2018
Rutgers Two Food Innovation Centers (FIC North, located in Piscataway and FIC South, located in Bridgeton) and the Rutgers EcoComplex, located in Bordentown, were approved for the NJ Economic Development Authority (EDA) Incubator & Collaborative Workspace Rent Initiative (Ignite) which provides up to $150,000 in rent subsidy (payable to the incubator) for tenants locating in those facilities. Tenants much be early stage technology or life science companies. EDA’s grants will cover rent payments for 2, 4 or 6 months; the facility matches the grant on a 1:2 basis. Collaborative workspaces are required to host a minimum of eight ecosystem building events (office hours, meetups, speaker series) in a year. NJ Ignite supports entrepreneurs by providing rent support grants and also provides collaborative workspaces with a new tenant attraction tool. Additional details are available on the NJEDA Website.
