The Bloomberg U.S. Innovation Index scored each of the 50 states on a 0-100 scale across six equally weighted metrics: R&D intensity; productivity; high-tech density; concentration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) employment; science and engineering degree holders; and patent activity.
It has been described as a kind of American idol for inventors and innovators.
The Solve for X: New Jersey Campaign conducted on Feb. 2 at Rutgers University, offered four inventors, who are trying to solve the world's most pressing problems, the opportunity to present their ideas to a community of scientists, technologists, and social entrepreneurs. Read more here.
